Security Officer

Laikipia University wishes to inform its stakeholders that Captain (Rtd.) Ezekiel Mateu has officially assumed office as the University's Security Officer, taking over from Mr. Samuel Mwaka Musembi following a formal handover ceremony.

In his farewell remarks, Mr. Musembi expressed his gratitude to the University Management, staff, and students for the support accorded to him during his tenure and pledged his continued goodwill towards the University.

Upon assuming office, Captain Mateu thanked the University Management for the confidence placed in him and assured the University community of his commitment to enhancing security and maintaining a safe and conducive environment for learning, research, and service delivery. He affirmed that he is fully prepared to undertake the responsibilities entrusted to him.

The ceremony was witnessed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kibett Rotich, Prof. Stella Muhanji, Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic, Research and Student Affairs), Prof. Robert Mwebi, Registrar (Academic Affairs), Dr. Hezron Nyamwega, Registrar (Administration and Human Capital), Rev. Fr. Dr. Peterson Kabugi, Dean of Students, and Mr. Hilary Lolooki, In-Charge of Armed Security.
