Laikipia University participated during the Launch of the National Mentorship Policy by Cabinet Secretary for Education  Amb. Dr. Amina Mohammed.

The Policy was launched on Saturday 16th February, 2019 at Upperhill High School Nairobi whose main objective is the operationalization and management of Mentorship programs.

Laikipia University was nominated to participate in the National Mentorship Policy Launch following a successful Laikipia County Government, Laikipia County Professionals and Laikipia University Joint Mentorship Program covering thirty-one (31) schools during the Laikipia County Education Week (21st – 25th January, 2019).

Participants were drawn from the Ministry of Education, High Schools, Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association, National Parents Association and other MoE partners notable among them I Choose Life Africa, UNESCO and World Vision.

Laikipia University is geared towards harnessing social competencies and talents in the society to support learners achieve their full potential through comprehensive Mentorship. This way, the University partners with I Choose Life Africa and Equity Wings to Fly as key facilitators in the Mentorship Program on a mission of ‘Empower 10 to reach 100’
